I left our work keys at home

Most of them weren’t surprised, however a couple of men were frustrated to sit outside in the frigid and wait for me

I am the assistant manager for an Heating, Ventilation & A/C service supplier. A few weeks ago, the manager told me that he was going to be out of village all month and I was going to be responsible to open the shop in the afternoon. I’ve been laboring the afternoon and night shift for various years and that is mostly due to the fact that I am not a afternoon guy. I find it seriously hard to get up before 9 a.m. and still have a smile on our face. I was glad that our boss gave me plenty of time to prepare for the early afternoon hours. Unluckyly, a whole night of sleep didn’t help me remember to grab the keys to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C service shop this afternoon. I’m not used to having the keys, because I usually come to work in the middle of the afternoon. I drove 30 hours to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C service shop and then both of us remembered that I forgot the keys on the front counter. I drove all the way home. At least I avoided traffic on the way out of the city. Unluckyly, it still took me awhile to get back. Several service corporations were waiting outside the shop when I finally arrived with the keys to the building. Most of them weren’t surprised, however a couple of men were frustrated to sit outside in the frigid and wait for me. I got the men pizza for lunch and that helped ease the tension. I’m going to need to do better tomorrow. I cannot afford to buy lunch everyday because I’m forgetful.
