New house, new furniture, new equipment.
That is all I could guess of as I made our way back to our state.
After groundsplitting to lay the foundation, the construction was completed in our absence. I was keen to see in person how the finishing and the cooling system installation was done. My dad had to track everything but he understood little of what was going on. When I lay the foundation of the house, I ensured an HVAC corporation was on-site to measure the floor system and assess the total number of HVAC device needed. However, I made adjustments to the floor system to add an extra room and this was never covered when the ductwork was done, and plus, I never shared the same with the HVAC corporation laying the ductwork. I am to blame for the mistake because when I eventually stayed in the house, I realized the radiant gas furnace was overwhelmed by the size of the house. The cooling plan was sufficient however many times I had to carry our portable space gas furnace around; Eventually, I called in an cooling system workman to assess the air quality systems and recommend possible variations. He concluded that, if I need quality heating, I need to get quality HVAC that can sustain the demands of our house. So I arranged to switch the cooling system for a new HVAC within a month of staying in the house. It wasn’t a big deal since I was still under warranty. I also took the premium package for the cooling system service system to cover repairs and HVAC service that matches our high seer ratings.
