I can constantly tell when it is time to change the air filter in the cooling system, because I beginning to odor fish in the air.
I live by the docks & the odor of fish is constantly in the air & everywhere around us.
The fishing boats are stacked by the water with pretty names & giants masts. They leave every afternoon & return every night. The crew’s fish for lobster, shrimp, cod, & haddock. They use the odoriest bait made of entrails from cod, squid, & chickens, fishing is a single of the main industries in the area & a lot of community residents rely on fishing for their livelihood. Both of my siblings are employed by the fishing industry & my Dad is a boat captain for a tour agency that specializes in scalloping trips. I personally cannot lay the odor of fish, so I got an media air cleaner to keep in my apartment. I care about living by the beach & close to the shore, although I do not care for the odor of fish or seafood. When I beginning to odor the odor in the air, I suppose it’s time to change the air filter. I keep several or 4 on hand at all times. I buy air filters that are made for indoor odors from pets. They are made with charcoal fibers & odor bursting materials. They work especially well for removing fishy odors. As long as I keep them changed frequently, they actually split down on nasty odors & other indoor pollutants that may be inside my home.
