When you wake up in the early morning and the a/c appliance isn’t actually working, the rest of the day is going to be especially busy! I had some setbacks with the AC and I made the choice to call a repairman.
I made sure the batteries in the temperature control component were easily working and I also ran tests on the coils to be sure they were not frozen.
I ran tests on a few things on the troubleshooting list and I could not locate the reason why the AC appliance was not really working. That’s when I made the choice to call the maintenance service. I live in a small area where there are only a few places to call, although I have a regular AC repairman. I called the maintenance to schedule a free estimate and he told myself and others there is now a service fee. I didn’t want to have to pay for a service fee, especially since this was a new fee and I was a longtime customer. He honestly didn’t want to budge, so I decided to arrange the appointment. When the AC service guy arrived, I tried to argue about the fee with him. I was required to cover the cost for the service fee before they performed the evaluation on my cooling appliance. A free estimate should be free and a service fee means that the estimate is no longer free. I spent 15 minutes trying to get the task done for free. I could tell that the service guy was becoming frustrated, so I paid the service fee and he investigated the setback. I needed someone to find the root of the setback, although I called the owner of the corporation later that day to complain about the annoying fees.
