My older brother called me a few nights ago, because she didn’t think the gas furnace was heating the house.
I am not a full-time gas furnace repair serviceman, but I am currently going to school to become certified. I informed my brother that I could only lend a helping hand and I would not be able to repair the problem, then the best I could do was give her a system of what could be wrong. I went to the home last evening and I could tell that the gas furnace wasn’t entirely working right. The moment I walked through the door, I could tell that it wasn’t quite as hot as it should be. The temperature on the temperature control was reading 68 degrees, however it was really not that warm inside of the house. I told our sister to get the thermometer from the front porch and put it in the middle of the residing room. I had a sneaky suspicion that the concern wasn’t the gas furnace, but the temperature control, then both of us sat around the lunch table and had spaghetti, meatballs, garlic bread, and a healthy helping of cheesecake. I wanted to give the temperature control time to calibrate before I diagnosed the temperature, however just as I suspected, the temperature on both temperature controls did not match up. I told our sister that I was almost certain that she needed a current temperature control, and she is going to get 1 sometime today and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, then I just saved our sister a ton of money.
